Women's Refresh Retreat 2024

The Women’s Ministry of the International Bible Church invites all ladies to our upcoming Annual Refresh Retreat.  We are trusting and believing that our ladies will leave this retreat more spiritually restored and renewed in body, mind, and spirit as well as to become more connected to one another.   Join us for a day retreat as we spend time in worship, God’s word, and in fellowship.  

 We are honored and excited to have Miriam (Sony) Mathew with us for this year’s retreat.  

Miriam was part of IBC since 1998 and was one of the first Sunday School teachers. She taught for 12 years. She also served as a youth leader and mentor for the young ladies. 

In the last decade, Miriam and her husband, Pastor Jacob Mathew, have served in ministry as youth pastors at Philadelphia Full Gospel Assembly and Sharon Fellowship in Oklahoma; and senior pastors at Emmanuel Assemblies of God here in Houston until last spring. In her years as a Pastor's wife, Miriam has served as Director of Children’s Church and Director of Sunday School, started a ladies ministry, L3 (Ladies Loving the Lord) and of course assisted in any capacity the church needed. 

Last year, Miriam and her husband launched a nonprofit organization called Nations Cry Ministry and she currently serves as HWPF Secertary. She has served cancer patients for over 15 years as an oncology nurse and is currently a Nurse Navigator at MD Anderson Cancer Center. She enjoys writing, cooking, spending time with her family, and tries to keep up with her three young kids: Joshua, Micah, and Abigail.
